Afghanistan vs Zimbabwe, 3rd T20I — Afghanistan v Zimbabwe in UAE

The last T20I before both sides switch to red-ball cricket, with two Tests at the same ground to follow on 5 and 13 November.

Whether this one decides the series depends on Thursday night. What it will certainly do is give Afghanistan a last look at a white-ball side that has been hard to pick apart: Fazalhaq Farooqi opened the tournament with 3 for 13 from 3.1 overs, Rashid Khan went at exactly five an over, and Ijaz Ahmad Ahmadzai arrived at number seven and changed a match in twenty-two balls.

For Zimbabwe, Newman Nyamhuri’s 4 for 31 in the first T20I was the standout return of the match from either side. Ernest Masuku took two on debut. The raw material is there; the finishing has not been.
