Afghanistan vs Zimbabwe, 2nd T20I, Afghanistan vs Zimbabwe in UAE 2026

Afghanistan lead the three-match series 1-0 after winning the opener by 37 runs, and the number to watch tonight has nothing to do with the series. Rashid Khan is on 199 T20I wickets. One more and he becomes the first bowler in the format’s history to reach 200 — he already leads the all-time list by 28 from Adil Rashid, and he has four overs due to him.

Zimbabwe will feel the first match got away from them rather than being lost outright. They had Afghanistan 18 for 3 inside three overs and 66 for 5 in the twelfth, and Ernest Masuku took two wickets on debut. Then Ijaz Ahmad Ahmadzai hit fifty from twenty balls and the match was gone.

Sikandar Raza’s side need to work out how to close out a half of a cricket match. They have had two days to do it.
